GA DECA Chapter Spotlight

Lee County High & Crisp County High

With Summer Break comes vacations, swimming, and DECA preparation for the upcoming school year for the DECA leadership teams of Lee County High School & Crisp County High School. These chapters participated in a leadership session at Lake Blackshear Resort in Cordele, Georgia from August 1st through 2nd. Georgia DECA President, Taylor Wingard, and State Executive Director, Mrs. Shannon Aaron, were both in attendance and were invited to support and help lead activities to better the student's leadership skills. Besides activities, the students focused on key components of a successful year such as their Program of Work, a budget, and a calendar of events. Crisp County just hit 50 paid members and have already raised $500 for Make A Wish Foundation. They also volunteered at a Triathlon.
